2ND Annual Halloween Horror Movie Marathon

Upper Peninsula Paranormal Research Society and The Sault Theater team up for a frightfully good time

The season of witches, ghosts and goblins and Halloween is upon us. There is no better way to celebrate the season than with twelve hours straight of classic horror films. Just ask the Upper Peninsula Paranormal Research Society!

Saturday, October 4th, The Upper Peninsula Paranormal Research Society is hosting the 2nd Annual Halloween Horror Movie Marathon at the historic Sault Theater in Downtown Sault Ste. Marie. For twelve hours straight, Noon to Midnight, you can enjoy great movies such as ‘Nosferatu’; the original vampire movie and still considered by some to be the best, ‘Dead Rise’; a regionally made movie in DeTour, Michigan, ‘KISS meets the Phantom of the Park’; THE rock band KISS straight out of a Scooby Doo plot, and the evening will be highlighted by two cult classics; Sam Raimi’s ‘Army of Darkness’ and the 1981 version of ‘Halloween II’. The entire evening of movies only costs $10, and College and High School students with ID will get in for $8.

“We took what we loved as kids, and have brought them back to the big screen for everyone to enjoy”, said Tim Ellis, Co-Founder of the Halloween Movie Marathon. “And we wanted to make sure we kept it at a price that everyone could afford”, said Brad Blair, Co-Founder of the event.

Tickets can be purchased at the Soo Theater the day of the event. Concessions will also be available during the twelve hours of movies.
