When does Paracon take place?

The Michigan Paranormal Convention is the Midwest’s premiere paranormal convention. It takes place the Thursday-Saturday before Labor Day weekend in August. Registration begins at 1 p.m. on the opening day with the event itself starting at 3 p.m. Thursday has events that run throughout the evening until 9 and Friday and Saturday have events that run from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. Times are subject to change.

Where does Paracon take place?

Paracon takes place at Kewadin Casino in Sault Ste. Marie. Presenters will hold panels over the course of the event inside the DreamMakers Theater. Additional workshops and galleries will take place throughout Kewadin Casino. Vendor rooms will be available to ticket holders only.

When do I check in to Paracon?

You can check into Paracon beginning Thursday, Aug. 22 at 1 p.m. at Kewadin Casino. Paracon does not begin until 3 p.m.

Do I need a ticket to enter the vendor rooms at Paracon?

Yes. The vendor rooms are reserved for Paracon attendees.

Do Paracon tickets sell out?

Weekend and daily passes do not sell out. They are available online until the week of Paracon. Then during Paracon they are available through the Sault CVB representative at Kewadin Casino. However, VIP and Supernatural VIP passes sell out quickly. Supernatural VIP passes typically sell out at Paracon itself when they become available exclusively for attendees. VIP passes sell out quickly after Paracon when they’re made available to the general public.

I called the Kewadin Casino box office and they weren’t able to sell me tickets, where do I buy Paracon tickets?

Paracon tickets are sold exclusively through the Sault CVB. They’re available here. We sell tickets online until the week of Paracon. Then once registration for Paracon begins at 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 22, the Sault CVB will be selling tickets at Kewadin Casino. The casino is a partner and helps host the event, but they do not sell Paracon tickets. Please do not call the casino box office for Paracon tickets.

Are refunds available for Paracon tickets and add-on tickets?

No. Barring unforeseen circumstances, we do not offer refunds for Paracon. If a workshop or gallery is cancelled, a credit will be issued.

Where do I book a room for Paracon?

In year’s past the Sault CVB sold hotel rooms for guests to stay at Kewadin Casino during Paracon. This year Kewadin Casino is selling its own rooms. Please contact the casino for room availability.
